It seems that this segment from the Muppet Show must have shimmered for me. Driving home just now I recalled it again. Many years after having seen it during my childhood I recalled it and looked for the source – which led me to Jim Croce. So here is the Muppet Show (which I was surprised to find online!) version followed by the original.
