Home

For months I’ve been playing around with this post in my head – it is about a wish. Over the last two weeks this wish has taken a turn and matured into something I can embrace and share. I wish for a home for myself and for Andreea and a family that may grow from our shared journey.

A few months ago we moved to live in the north of Israel (Galil area) with two convictions: (1) we love this area and living here, it is rightfully considered a heaven in Israel; (2) this is our last stop in Israel. The next stop will be somewhere else in the world. Home is a wish embodied in the 2nd conviction. It has evolved from “leaving Israel” to “finding a home”.

  • Home is a welcoming embrace.
  • Home is where our energy can settle and expand.
  • Home is where our destiny can manifest.
  • Home is where we can live a productive and balanced life.
  • Home is where we can pursue our passions & our passions can pursue us.
  • Home is where our passions & actions resonate harmoniously with others.
  • Home is an intimate island in an ever-changing life.

I feel these qualities absent from our lives. In the past this has led to self-judgment and injury and a tiring list of what home is not – no more. It’s time for us to go home.

Energy is moving for us so I will use the comments on this post to keep a diary, acknowledge and share as this story unveils before us:
    – We have learned about Slovenia from Fred Wilson who wrote about his visit there: http://www.avc.com/a_vc/2009/07/slovenia.html
    – Monty Levenson of http://www.shakuhachi.com has sent out a communication on our behalf to a fellow Shakuhachi player in Slovenia.
    – I have come across Kevin (http://www.kevinharris.com) and Phi (http://www.AgameYMC.com) and we are discussing options for Yoga retreats at Janagala (http://www.jangalaretreat.com) in Peru.

Andreea and I have decided to place our bets on a visit to Romania. Originally we talked about a 20+ days visit and now it's looking to be 2+ months. She will be spending time in numerous cities and reaching out to women, teenage girls and professionals to communicate her work (http://www.feminitate.org). She will be giving workshops, counseling, treating and meeting with people.

As this idea evolves and a general outline is forming for her trip we are beginning to see this as a major step forward in moving towards our new home. Our family is also very supportive of this endeavor.

It's done – Andreea will be flying to Romania on October 20th and returning January 4th. She will be visiting at least 5 cities. Yeah!

Energy is moving as Andreea's departure nears (3 days to go). Women are registering with the FEM (http://www.myfem.org) application, a concrete collaboration is forming in Romania, somethings in the schedule are getting locked in, others may be moving out… it is alive and breathing.

Andreea has for the first time submitted Feminitate as a European social innovation project. At this time (after 16 months of operation) Feminitate has been visited by almost 100,000 women who have viewed over 400,000 articles. For the first time Feminitate is starring in the context in which it lives – you can see it here: http://www.euclidnetwork.eu/pages/en/this-is-euro
