I found this great tool called Launchy (compliments of @SaraJChipps). It’s a really small application for launching other applications. Once its installed it runs in the background, you summon it by pressing alt+space (though you can configure that to other sequences) and then you start typing in the name of the application you want to run, within just a few clicks it’s there. No need to move the mouse around and go hunting in useless menus. Simple application, works great, excellent design and magical (it knows everything without you needing to tell it anything!).
