Every once in a while, and in what seems to be increasing frequency, I read about interesting things happening in Bolivia. It seems to be standing up and reject predatory moves from the USA and the international corporate community. It feels like government there is, beware crazy stuff ahead, taking action to better the lives of its citizens.
This recent article speaks of how it is resisting Bilateral Investment Treaties (which are wreaking havoc on many developing countries and communities) and finding that despite their withdrawal from such agreements, foreign investment keep pouring into the country.
Something good seems to be happening in Bolivia (and a few other South American countries?)
